The Estate
Where the Vine Meets the Sky
Nestled in the rolling hills of Lamorinda, California, Scottywould Vineyards was born from a conviction that the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world need not travel far to find its terroir.
The estate sits at elevation, where cool marine air drifts inland each evening, slowing the ripening of the fruit and concentrating the flavors that define our Reserve. The soils here — a mosaic of volcanic ash and ancient clay — lend the wine its characteristic mineral backbone and extraordinary longevity.
The Philosophy
Craft Without Compromise
We farm with patience. Every vine is tended by hand, every cluster evaluated before harvest. We pick only when the fruit is ready — not when the calendar says so.
In the cellar, restraint is our guiding principle. The wine spends eighteen months in new French oak, emerging with structure and depth that rewards those willing to wait. We produce only what the vintage allows.

The Winemaking
A Single Wine. A Single Purpose.
Harvest
Hand-picked at peak phenolic maturity, sorted cluster by cluster on the sorting table.
Fermentation
Native yeast fermentation in small open-top tanks, with twice-daily punch-downs to gently extract color and tannin.
Élevage
Eighteen months in new French oak in the Healdsburg cellar allows the wine to develop complexity while preserving the freshness of the fruit.
Bottling
Unfined and unfiltered. Bottled by hand in small lots, sealed and laid to rest until release.
